I’ve gone back to our archive to share firstly the images of their Kedleston Hall engagement photo shoot which took place last year on a beautiful sunny hot day. The venue for their engagement shoot was very significant as they shared with me that they were going to enjoy a National Trust inspired wedding day. As we explored the grounds of Kedleston and then with their kind permission we were able to go inside for photographs. Stephen and Esther really introduced me to the National Trust lifestyle and with the wave of a membership card it opened the entrance gates to a whole lot of beautiful history. On their wedding day Stephen and Esther had arranged for the photographs from their engagement session to appear on screen whilst guests enjoyed their drinks.
On the morning of Stephen and Esther’s wedding I arrived for bridal preparations at Esther’s parents house. Esther, mum and youngest bridesmaid were mid pamper as Sarah of SJG Pro Make Up Artist and hair stylist Laura looked after them. I shot images of the beautiful dresses hanging upstairs in Esther’s room, four beautiful lilac dresses from Coast for the bridesmaids and the most stunning detailed wedding dress of Esther’s.
Michelle Gledhill soon after arrived with bouquets for the girls, these beautiful flowers would later fill the top table with a mass of colour. Michelle had also styled the beautiful wedding reception room, which was like stepping into a beautiful National Trust tea room. Once Esther and her excited bridemaids were ready they walked out into mum and dad’s well tended garden for some photographs then it was off to church for me to meet Stephen and the guys.
It was nice to see that along with his beautiful button-hole Stephen was also sporting an Olympic games pin badge, the games had just started and it was a great little touch I thought, marking their wedding day during the greatest games ever!
Stephen and Esther’s wedding service was very personal and as they signed as Mr & Mrs, a friend sang and played for the guests on the church piano. It was then a walk outside into the long awaited Summer sunshine as guests were excited to congratulate them. We then drove to their wedding venue just a stones throw away from the church where their National Trust inspired wedding day shone in all it’s glory, with beautiful tea room styled tables adorned with fresh flowers.
After dinner the evening guests started to arrive and Stephen and Esther welcomed them with their first dance that they’d been putting to practice for some time and I have to say was probably the most impressive first dance I’ve yet seen, it was fabulous …. well done guys!
Stephen and Esther it has been such a great pleasure getting to know you both, you’ve opened my eyes to the joys of the National Trust and because of you we’ve enjoyed some fabulous picnic and exploration days out as a family. We wish you all the very, very happiness for the future. Neil & Becky x
