Even now I can still picture the grey heavy clouds and hear the noise of the rain bouncing against the windows, looking at the weather report with no sign of good news that it would clear for the rest of the day. Arriving at Charlotte’s parents house with the help of bacon cob’s (butties/baps!) everyone was trying to not think about the wet day outside. From experience of both photographing and having a very rainy wedding day of my own I know that it doesn’t dampen the day, but having only visited their venue the day before which landscape was in its full sunshine glory, it was weather that Charlotte and Tom had hoped for their day too.
So what happened? well I don’t really know who turned off the tap, but we went inside church with brollies and came out with blue skies moving over. By the time guests had departed from the church, they arrived to see the beautiful scene of Osmaston Park in all its lush finery.
From then the blue sky was with us and everyone could enjoy the views …. and the crazy golf!
Charlotte & Tom, what a fabulous wedding day, I’m so happy that the sun shone for you and everyone could enjoy the scene of Osmaston Park as you’d hoped for. We wish you all the happiness, all the success (as a husband & wife business partnership too!) and fabulous sunshine together on any dull days. Congratulations!! Neil & Becky xx
