After Jo & Doug’s Derbyshire engagement shoot we shared the ideas of a rustic background for their wedding photographs, how as Derby wedding photographers we’d take in the town and capture the journey of their wedding day.
Driving through the one lane leafy Derbyshire country roads, I was so excited to be joining Jo and her family for the bridal preparations near Wirksworth. I’ve enjoyed listening to Jo speak of her love of this part of Derbyshire, the wonderfully pieced together wedding day that was set to include the places and people that Jo and Doug hold close to their hearts.
Once ready we headed to the church packed with their family and friends and music by a string quartet that added an extra pinch of emotion. With prime spot at the front elevated above, I was privilaged to have the best seat in the house to capture some documentary wedding photographs, watching it all through the lens as Doug beamed with happiness as Jo appeared at the end of the aisle.
After the ceremony we followed their Beauford car into the town of Wirksworth and had a quick wander around the town with photos. It was then on to The Bear which was elegantly decorated with bunting made by Jo where the wedding breakfast took place then back into Wirksworth for the evening reception in the town hall.
Jo & Doug, we wish you all the happiness, may your new home be everything you wish it to be, enjoy making it your own and putting that all so special Mr & Mrs Clarke stamp on it. We’ve really enjoyed speanding time with you, its been a pleasure and a joy seeing you marry and meeting everyone, have a fabulous journey together. Neil & Becky xx

Loved everything, you are brilliant photographers! The best I’ve ever seen! I want to order the CD and several photographs. Thank you
Agree with Mum’s comments! I have no idea how we are going to pick photos from such an amazing collection – we will probably end up with all of them!
