Tell us a little about yourself and your company?

I am a professional freelance makeup artist, I trained with L’Oreal for 2 years and worked on Lancôme’s runways. This is my 5th year now and I’m loving every minute of it.

What made you start your business & how long?

SJG Pro Makeup has been running for 5 years now. Since the young age of just 14 my mum gave me my first bit of makeup which was a cream blush, I would use it everywhere eyes cheeks lips, I think I knew from then I wanted to be a makeup artist

What services does your business offer?

Pro MUA, Spray tanning, Nails, Lashes, Trial, Packages and a smile :)

What your favorite/classic package?

At present I’m loving my Bridal Special this includes: Trial, Makeup on the day, Spray tan, Nails, Lashes all for 150 wow!!

What’s going to be popular for 2012 / 2013?

I do keep up which trends but as I always say go with what suits you, some trends are pretty wacky and with the right makeup images can be timeless

What inspires your designs?

I’m mainly inspired but textures colour schemes and personalities but I can sometimes look at something as simple as a coke can and get ideas from the colouring etc

What’s your favorite part of your job?

Meeting people and seeing the finished look

What’s the hardest part of your job?

Saying goodbye as I grow close to people as I join them on their journey to the big day

On average per year how many weddings are you commissioned for?

I do around 3 a week

How far in advance should clients book you to avoid disappointment or recommend placing an order/booking?

At least 6 to 12 months as trials need to be fitted in too

What has been the most unusual request you’ve had?

Now that would be telling but it wasn’t a wedding um!!

How do you relax after a busy day?

I come home to my two gorgeous boys aged 4yrs and the other 16 weeks

Do you have any exciting projects coming up?

I’m currently working on a popular TV show sorry cant mention; I also am a tutor and do day courses and bridal workshops so loving that also
