Nottingham wedding photographers capture Paul and Abi wedding at The Vicarage Boutique Hotel Southwell.

Abi and Paul were the very lucky winners of the Save The Date Magazine competiton back in 2011.  This fabulous prize included the services of some of Nottingham’s leading wedding suppliers, a team of first class businesses that would support Paul and Abi’s wedding at The Vicarage Boutique Hotel Southwell.

Their wedding day took place on probably the hottest day in May, I started at the Vicarage Boutique Hotel for bridal and groom preparations, which involved the skilled hands and wonderful personality of award winning wedding hair stylist James White.  He worked smoothly styling the hair of the ladies then popped down the hall to add a final dash of style to Paul’s hair.

The bouquets for the day were created by Kerry of Tineke Floral Designs, and as always looked absolutely amazing.

Meanwhile the car had arrived from I Do Wedding Cars and Jo from Cakey Wakey had placed the beautiful cake and was styling the tables and chairs of the gorgeous restaurant.

I was soon joined by my lovely assistant for the day, Lauren Clarke my 2010 Nottingham bride, who’s since become a great friend and keen photographer.  Joining us on our lastest Lifestyle photography workshop, Lauren took to our advice like a sleek duck to water and we were very proud of the images she was producing.  So along with supporting me on the day with my equipment so was armed with a camera to capture some moments too so she could experience a little more of the life of a wedding photographer.  Lauren will be writing a guest blog post for us too, having now worked with us on both sides of the camera!

Once the girls were ready they were driven just a short drive down the road to the beautiful Southwell Minster, there they waited for Abi and her father to arrive for them to walk the long path to the minster entrance in the beautiful May sunshine.  We were asked not to photograph any of the ceremony once we entered so as soon as I was up to capture the signing of the register I was ready to capture some of the internal aspects of this historical beauty with such a very happy couple marrying inside it.

As we departed to the voices of a professional choir we all spilled outside for some photographs and then made the short drive back to The Vicarage Boutique Hotel. The afternoon included everyone enjoying the sun and a little drink, and we captured a few more group photographs then I spent some time walking the gardens with Abi and Paul capturing some of our signature images.

As the guests enetered the restaurant for the wedding breakfast they feast their eyes on the beautiful table’s that had been created by Honeysuckle and Castle.  They were also able to sign the guest signature board that was produced after their engagement shoot with us.

After the speeches it was back outside for the early evening warm weather and then Just Ben took the evening from there, entertaining everyone through the late hours.

Abi and Paul, what a fabulous wedding day, you have been such a happy couple to get to know, always full of smiles and happiness.  It was a perfect pleasure to be a part of your day. We wish you endless health and happiness for the future.  Becky and Neil xx
