Derby wedding photograhers Butterworth Photography capturing the story of Rachel and David’s wedding day at Shottle Hall
I met Rachel and David whilst down in London after visiting the society of wedding and portrait photographers convention in January this year, we then went to discuss their wedding day at Shottle Hall and to photograph their engagement photo’s near London’s Kew Gardens.
Half a year goes so quickly and the big day was quickly upon us, In the morning I travelled up to Chesterfield, Derbyshire to start the day with Rachel and her family to capture the story of getting ready with hair and make-up. Rachel was complete calm during bridal preparations even when it had emerged the bridesmaids accessories had been locked in the boot of one of the cars along with the keys….. after numerous attempts to break into the car the AA was called to assist, this did not work and it was left down to the trusty old brick.
With no serious delay’s we were off to the picturesque Shottle Hall to complete bridal preparations.
As Rachel added the finishing touches and the bridesmaids re-covered from the days earlier events they were all ready to be greeted by Dad who was very keen to see his beautiful daughter ready to walk down the lisle.
David during this whole time was relaxed and enjoying the time leading up to the ceremony. As Rachel and her dad walked down the aisle their smiles lit the Lounge room at Shottle Hall and the lovely ceremony began. I throughly enjoyed capturing the story of Dad with his none stop smile throughout the ceremony.
The speeches was great filled with laughter, crying, emotion and embarrassing photos. Then on to the beautiful gardens over looking the Peak District, within the picturesque Ecclesbourne Valley to capture some one to one Butterworth Photography signature images. I finished the evening with a group shot of the balloon release and first dance.
