Makeney Hall and the delightful Osmaston Church in Derbyshire were the carefully chosen wedding venues for Rob and Amy in August. We were also chosen as their Derbyshire wedding photographers and we’ve enjoyed every step of the way in getting to know them both as they’ve planned and celebrated their wedding day.
Neil and I both started photographing the wedding preparations in Ashbourne and then it was a countryside drive over to Osmaston church for the ceremony, with two sparkly Range Rovers providing the carriages for the wedding party. It was a personal relaxed service which we captured in our documentary style, the relaxed theme then wonderfully flowed for the rest of the day. Some of Amy’s primary school pupils had come to see her come out of church armed with confetti and cute banners of congratulations. It was then a convoy of cars back through the Derbyshire countryside, to celebrate!
We all arrived to mini cup cakes at Makeney Hall, this magnificent Victorian country manor, nestles in the heart of Derbyshire, with views that stretch across the Amber Valley. After arrival drinks we headed out to the stunning gardens of Makeney Hall and then spent a little time with Amy and Rob capturing some photographs of just the two of them.
Amy had amazingly found the time to make their wedding cake, in between all the planning, both wedding and lesson! With the August sunshine after dinner guests spilled out to relax and catch up with a drink, before the evening party started.
Amy & Rob, huge congratulations to you both, your wedding was a truly beautiful day. We wish you all the happiness and fun for the future together as Mr & Mrs Staley.
