It was a Nottingham wedding for Darren and Caroline that was organised both here in Nottingham and with a little helping hand from Caroline’s sister Lyndsey over in Holland. Thankfully permission was arranged for their brother in law to take some time away from the RAF to attend such a special occasion.
I started photographing their wedding day from the bridal preparations with Caroline and her bridesmaids at a local hotel. There were a few nerves but lots of excitement. Caroline looked stunning in her wedding dress and soon after she was ready dad arrived to escort her on her journey to church in a fabulous classic Jaguar.
The wedding ceremony was held at Sawley Church, an eagerly waiting Darren was all ready at the aisle when I arrived. It was not certain if he’d have been standing there with his arm in a cast, recently broken it had been doubtful if it would be off in time, but thankfully he was given the OK! After the ceremony and some photographs in the church we all drove over for the wedding celebrations.
Nottingham Lakeside Tower was the venue where the wedding breakfast and evening celebrations were to take place. With great weather guests could enjoy drinks and sunshine and I could take photographs as Caroline and Darren walked around the lakeside. There was laughter and a few tears during the speeches then after the cake was cut and the dancing started I left them to enjoy the evening party.
Darren and Caroline, It was a pleasure to photograph your wedding day, I wish you all th every best together as husband and wife. Neil
