It was late August of this year when Rosie and Gary married in one of Nottingham’s most beautiful villages just a stone throw away from the river Trent. It had not been long before that Neil had met with Rosie and Gary for their Nottingham Village Engagement shoot,
Neil started to capture the bridal preparations at Rosie’s parents house which was just across the lane from where their reception marquee sat in a local farmers field. Inside the marquee was a sumptuous display of flowers adorning all the tables and standing around the room. After having a peek in here Becky headed to the church down the road to meet with the grooms men, Gary and his best man arrived by bicycle which had been a little tougher in their suits and the humidity.
Rosie and her bridesmaids arrived at church, Rosie’s veil was really something so very very beautiful it completed the style to her stunning dress and loose tousled hair. Straight after the ceremony we started to capture the group photographs an almighty big grey, angry, grumbly looking cloud headed towards us as soon as we’d captured the last shot the big spots of rain started, we got Gary and Rosie off to the car (for the 30 second drive down the road in the dry) and we dashed down to the marquee to capture them arriving.
As the rain bounced loudly off the roof of the marquee guests enjoyed a drink and the view from the marquee provided a lush landscape. The wedding breakfast was afternoon tea, with cute sandwiches and cream cake, served with tea in china collected by Rosie’s dad. After tea the speeches commenced which provided some hysterical entertainment and fond memories too.
During a gap in the rain we used this to take a short walk around the village, we hadn’t got too far when the thunder started, the rumbles provided quite a bit of excitement as we spotted locations for photographs and tried to avoid a downpour of rain. We then returned to the marquee where the barrels of beer were in full flow and the kayleigh begin for the evening, providing great entertainment and a fun way to get people interacting on the dance floor!
Rosie and Gary we wish you both all the very happiness, thank you for inviting us to capture your Nottinghamshire village wedding day, it was wonderful for us to be a part of.
