Where do I start? what do I say about Lisa and Duncan? what is there not to say? and how long do I have? I feel like I’ve been on a magical journey with them on their plans for their wedding day and seeing them marry this weekend totally brought a smile to my face and a little tear to my eye. Duncan and Lisa have always made me incredibly welcome, our meetings have been great fun and I have enjoyed their company and listening to their wedding plans so much – I’m going to miss it!
So here’s their story, Lisa and Duncan had their first date about four and a half years ago, it was on the big nudge of Lisa’s friend that they had that date, and it was that special friend that spent time with her whilst getting ready for her wedding. The ceremony took place at the beautiful St Mary’s church in Lowdham. Duncan was completely full of emotion and as I had the best seat in the church watching from the front, I could see that with every smile and laugh Lisa gave to Duncan it made him feel so much better! And with that I thought ‘hey, that’s the perfect recipe, knowing when someone needs a smile!’.
After the ceremony we all headed off to Tom Brown’s in Gunthorpe, the weather was great for us, the view was fab and the food and atmosphere was AMAZING! After some tears and lots of laughter from Best Man Lee’s speech we took Lisa and Duncan outside for a short walk next to the river, amazingly we’d took them to the same spot that they’d had that first date!!
After some fun for the boys with the Chinese lanterns, it was off inside for the first dance which was followed with music from a great band. It was with that we said our goodbyes and wished them both all the very very best for the future.
Lisa and Duncan, thank you so very much for being so fabulous, thank you choosing us to capture your day. We wish you both all the happiness together, we know you’ve got the perfect ingredients for it!! Lots of Love, Becky & Neil xxx
