I’m capturing a maternity photo session today with Jaime and Roxanne in Derbyshire and it’s made me think of the fond memories of their wedding day. So to mark the next journey of their lives as husband and wife together here’s a peek at their beautiful wedding day that was held at The Walled Garden at Cowdry.
Jaime and Roxanne live in Leicestershire but decided to spread their search for their wedding venue to hold an intimate wedding with just under thirty guests. They found the beautiful Walled Garden in Cowdry down in West Sussex and for their early October wedding it proved to be the perfect spot from them to say their vows and celebrate.
As the wedding venue was quite a distance from Nottingham I stayed local to Roxanne’s hotel the evening before and joined her and the girls for bridal preparations in the morning. Jaime was staying just along the corridor which meant I could pop by and capture him and his dad before heading off to the Walled Garden.
The drive to approach the Walled Gardens was beautiful as we passed the Cowdray Ruins, and after a very wet and cold summer it felt like we’d managed to grab ourselves the last (in a very few) sunny days of 2012 with Roxanne and Jaime’s early Autumn wedding day. As a wedding venue The Walled Garden was stunning and the perfect setting for Roxanne’s theme of china cups and roses. Their wedding ceremony was beautiful and being an intimate gathering of close family and friends it was an emotional one which I think everyone felt close to their heart.
After the ceremony we enjoyed a stroll around Cowdray Ruins and of course the beautiful gardens, before heading inside for afternoon tea with lots of cake.
Jaime and Roxanne, what a beautiful wedding day, I am filled with fond memories as I always am, and its an extra delight that you chose me to join you on your West Sussex wedding adventure. We wish you all the very happiness as husband and wife and we’re very excited to be capturing your next journey as new parents xx
