I’m not sure what the temperature rose to in the end, but it sure was a beautifully warm spring day for Mr & Mrs Banham’s wedding day! Bridal preparations took place upstairs in one of the sumptuous bedrooms of Woodborough Hall in Nottingham, with Maria and her two daughters having a a special girlie morning as they got ready. Meanwhile ‘the guys’ were at a local house in the village with Neil, nervously practicing speeches in the quiet of the Nottinghamshire countryside.
The day was filled with music, with a string quartet to welcome guests into the hall, and to play during the ceremony. They then took themselves out onto the lawn and played whilst everyone sipped Pims after a beautiful ceremony. As guests sat down to dinner, Maria’s daughter played the piano – a proud moment for Jon and Maria, then there was a pianist throughout with the buzz of a band to follow in the evening.
Jon & Maria’s twin boys kept the laughter flowing all day, with their joke book humor and their very proud moment of handing the rings to mum and dad, at that all so special moment during the ceremony. It was also a lovely mummy moment as they chatted to their mum for the first time in her wedding dress as everyone stepped out in to the sunshine, I heard the word’s ‘you look beautiful mum’ and ‘I love you’.
Jon, Maria and your amazing family, we thank you so very dearly for choosing us to capture your wedding day. It has been a wonderful pleasure to become a part of it, to see you all so very happy and we wish you all the love and happiness all together for the future.

I loved the styling to the day, all created by Maria with a little help from Georga, it had a lovely vintage touch, with candles and buttons. The table plan was gorgeous!!
Here’s Jon’s father and grandfather to the far right – he’s 98, and still fabulous on it!
When Maria told me she’d be having a tower of trifle or ‘Trifle Tower’ as I called it, I must admit for a moment I’d pictured in my mind, Granny styled trifle glasses, with sponge fingers and birds custard spilling over the top with strawberry jelly and hundreds and thousands decorating the top.
How wrong was I – how fab do they look, and I hear they taste AMAZING!
