Wow, well a big congratulations to the wonderful Kris and Jo, who married on Sunday at Harts Hotel in Nottingham. This was an extra special day for me to capture, Jo’s sister and I were really close friends at secondary school, and Jo and twin sister Lucy were known to me then as ‘the cute little twins’. Blimey how time has flown when now im photographing one of their wedding days!! I knew it would be a day of laughter, I remember even as a typical teenager, their family home was a nice place to be, a happy space with lots of laughs.
I met with Kris at Harts, with his best man ‘Bin’ who I must say was superb, he carried out his duties brilliantly (although Kris may not be so sure after listening to his speech). Jo arrived for their ceremony in a beautiful Beauford, along with mum, dad and aptly renamed ‘Pippa’ the bridesmaid AKA sister Lucy. They all looked amazing, especially Jo, she was beaming …. and beautiful.
After a beautiful ceremony lit by candle light, we managed to spend some time in the grounds as the weather had been kind to us and the rain had stopped before their ceremony. During dinner the close family and friends enjoyed some laughs and remembered those that had recently passed but we’re sure in everyones thoughts on this happy day.
Along with the wedding cake was a beautiful birthday chocolate cake, with so many of the families birthdays being in May, Jo and Kris had payed particular attention to celebrate it. So everyone sung Happy Birthday to the birthday bunch. I then left them to the sound of great music as the party started.
Kris & Jo, thank you, I’ve loved being a part of your day, it was beautiful to see you marry, together you are a wonderful couple and we wish you all the great happiness for the future together.
Jo & Kris took a little drive around Nottingham City with Pete of I Do Wedding Cars, they came back after many poses for
pedestrian camera phone shots.
