I met Alex and Paul some time back at a wedding fayre, Alex was a really keen blogger and was very keyed up on Twitter so I loved chatting to him about the wonders of the technical world!! I was totally delighted when Paul then phoned me a couple of months back to book us for their civil partnership at Woodborough Hall. They say love makes the world go round, I think the world needs two things to make it turn, love and laughter!!! This is was what made this day so special, it will be how I remember Alex and Paul, they really know how to make each other smile and really, REALLY Laugh … it was infectious and fabulous!!! I think it’s such an important ingredient to an amazing relationship, finding someone who can make you laugh, but in a more beautiful way than to listening to Billy Connolly or an episode of Only Fools & Horses!
So their journey started on Saturday 9 October, with Paul wearing a fabulous suit jacket that had an amazing touchy feely texture to it and Alex looked super relaxed in his brilliant striped shirt! Their ceremony was unique, I loved that they’d brought in a choir, their guests had got involved in the service and Jo, Paul’s sister touched everyone’s heart with a beautiful reading. After the ceremony with the Autumn weather being kind everyone’s spilled outside for drinks and photographs, we had some time to take a walk around the Hall and grounds for some together time with Alex and Paul and take a look at their amazing cake which looked like the cake maker had done an episode of ‘this is your life’ but in cake form! It was fab, and they must have been extremely reluctant to slice in to it!
After chats at the line up for dinner and a grand entrance into the beautiful reception room, we bid Alex and Paul a fond farewell for what I am sure was a great evening for everyone.
Alex and Paul we wish you the greatest happiness, keep making each other smile, laugh until it makes your sides ache and keep supporting each other in that special way that you do. You’re a fabulous couple and we’ve enjoyed every minute of getting to know you. Neil & Becky xx
