We’ve listed some of the questions that we come across most frequently, please do contact us if you have a question we’ve not answered or would like to meet us to chat in detail about your wedding day.
What is your style of photography?
Our wedding photography includes a mix of photojournalistic images, documenting your wedding day with you and your guests, as the day unfolds naturally. We also capture some of our signature images that are just slightly posed to add to your wedding photograph collection. The Butterworth Photography blog shows many examples of our photojournalistic and signature style wedding images.
In short, we want anyone looking through your wedding images to be able to tell the story of your day, encompassing the emotion and detail of it all.
We like your work, what are your package prices?
We’re delighted that you’ve enjoyed looking at our website and blog, our wedding photography packages start from £850, please contact us directly and we’ll send you full details of our pre-investment packages.
For off peak wedding dates and weddings with less than 35 guests we provide bespoke packages. Please contact us with some details of your day including, date, venues, guest numbers and approx. times and we’ll reply with a bespoke package for you.
We’ve received your wedding pre-investment information, we’d like to meet you ….
We’d love to meet and chat with you about your wedding day and discuss how we can capture your memories for you. If you’ve had a good browse through our blog and received our pre-investment details, then please contact us and we can arrange a good time for us to meet. We are located in Bramcote Nottingham, just off the A52, a short distance from junction 25 of the M1. Whilst you’re here we can welcome you and provide you with printed examples of our wedding photography.
We don’t want to be taken away too long from our guests whilst having photographs ….
We like to spend approximately 20 minutes with you on your own together to capture some of our signature images before your wedding breakfast. If there is opportunity to later on before your evening guests arrive we may suggest just a few more photographs to take advantage of any nice light changes etc. We will have determined the shots we want to take and this will be up to 15-20 minutes and is of course optional for you on the day.
If you prefer all your wedding images to be taken in our complete documentary style then let us know that this is your preference and we’ll be very happy to document the day for you.
How many group photographs should we include?
Our experience has allowed us to recognise that in the time you have to enjoy between your ceremony and wedding breakfast, you should include time to have any requested group photographs, time for just the two of you together and then for you to mingle and catch up with guests whilst we take documentary images. To allow sufficient time for all of these we suggest a list of up to eight group photographs.
You’ve not photographed a wedding at our venue before, does this matter?
We enjoy shooting at new venues and it shouldn’t worry you that we may not have shot at your wedding venue before. With so many beautiful buildings now being licensed for weddings, we do of course come across new venues. We have the experience and competence to work in new locations and we will research your venue before your wedding day.
Can we book an Engagement Photo Shoot?
We feel engagement shoots are a brilliant way for us all to get to know each other before your wedding day and a shoot can be added to your wedding investment package for just £125 and you’ll receive thirty images for the session for you to enjoy, share and print.
Are you insured?
Yes, we are fully insured for both public and professional indemnity.
Are you full time photographers?
Photographing around 30 weddings each year and capturing lifestyle portraiture requires our dedicated attention to our clients, therefore Butterworth Photography operates on a full time basis.
What are your payment terms?
A £300 booking fee confirms the date of your wedding and the remaining balance of your pre-investment package is due two months before your wedding day.
We want to book you as our wedding photographers, what do we do next?
Get in touch, confirming your wedding date and choice of wedding photography coverage and we’ll send your personalised booking forms and terms and conditions, to read, sign and return. The £300 booking fee will be payable at this time to confirm your wedding date.
What happens after our wedding day?
Approximately 4 weeks after your wedding day you’ll be invited to view your wedding images on large screen with us in Bramcote. They’ll be another opportunity during your visit to look through our product range and order any of our professional albums or prints.
Following your visit to us your private online viewing gallery will be available for your friends and family to enjoy too.
